Day 4
Laying on of Hands
Scripture: Heb. 6:1-Therefore, leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, and of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands...
Prayer
Father, wherever Jesus went he laid hands on people to impart the life of God unto them. Then He commissioned His disciples to go out and do likewise. Jesus had told His disciples on the night of His betrayal, "As My Father hath bestowed on me a kingdom so I bestow one upon you." On the day of Pentecost the ministry of Christ was bestowed on those who received the gift of the Holy Spirit. It is in spirit of Jesus' example of impartation and His commissioning of His disciples I also willingly offer my hands to minister in the name of Christ. Father, I lift my hands to You. I surrender them for Your use. Sanctify my hands especially in the days and weeks ahead. I see in Scripture that You have anointed my hands for service in Your kingdom. Equip my hands to dispense Your power and ministry through them. Those things that I put my hands to, Lord, make them to prosper. Enable me and empower me to be what I need to be to your church in this hour. Work through me by Your Spirit. I pray that the virtue of Christ will flow out through them to bring the blessing of the Lord on all on whom I place them.
