Summary for Week of Prayer and Fasting
God calls us His Beloved!
Because He loves us. He loves us as He loves His Son Jesus.
I in them, and Thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that Thou hast sent Me, and has loved them, as Thou hast loved Me. John 17:23
Every bride and groom knows the special feeling of being “chosen” by their mate.
He chose us and called us by name. We are His! We are His Bride!
Isaiah 43:1 I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art Mine.
God created us for His glory and to share His throne in eternity.
He is training us now on earth. He tells us, shows us and leads us by His Word to learn not only how to live this life, but to be prepared for everlasting life with Him. He bids us shine!
God the Father gave all power to Jesus. Jesus said, “Wait in Jerusalem until you be endued with power from on high.” The Holy Spirit came and all power was and is given to us, His disciples, His representatives on earth. He has provided everything we need to serve Him. We need to focus on our training.
We need to forgive.
The key to forgiving others is to stop focusing on what they did to you and start focusing on what God did for you.
We need to love one another. They will know we are Christians by our love.
John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another.
We need to be faithful. He is faithful to us all the time. He doesn’t slumber or sleep, or even go on vacation.
“I love You, Lord. For Your mercy never fails me.
All my days, I’ve been held in Your hands.
From the moment that I wake up until I lay my head, I will sing of the goodness of God!
Cause all my life You have been faithful, and all my life You have been so, so good.
With every breath that I am able, I will sing of the goodness of God.
Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me.
Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me.
With my life laid down, I surrender now, I give You everything.
Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me.”
And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, “This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” Isaiah 30:21
